Katheryn Winnick
Katheryn Winnick, a Canadian producer, director and actress she played the lead character on Vikings. The program was produced by MGM/The History Channel. The show received critical acclaim and Emmy prizes. Winnick was also the director of an episode of Vikings in 2020. Entertainment Weekly said that "Lagertha" was the "most captivating female character in TV." She has received several accolades in her portrayal of the fierce shieldmaiden, including the Women's Image Network Award for the Most Outstanding Actress of a TV Drama Series in 2018, the Critic's choice Award for the Best Supporting Actress and the Canadian Screen Award for the Leading Dramatic Actress for 2014, the Women's Image Network Award for the Best Actress for a Television Drama Series for 2015 and 2016 along with the Golden Maple Award for the most outstanding Actress in the role of a TV Series. Alongside these highly coveted awards, Katheryn was awarded the Serendipity Film's Award for Excellence at the Banff World Media Festival in 2015. Katheryn has been selected as one of the jurors for the 2019 Cannes Series Festival.
