Amanda Brugel

Brugel The only Canadian actor in Season 1 she was rarely watched. In Season 2, Brugel became a regular cast member and still a part it to this day. When discussing her character as well as the parallels to her real life, Brugel could be able to relate to the racism and discrimination she's faced in her other aspects of life. She explained: "I lean heavily on race. Like I've mentioned earlier, I've encountered situations where I felt that I was treated like a slave just because I'm African-American." The race I'm from has never caused me to be physically hurt through my entire life, but verbal abuse is something I've had to endure. When someone is saying something hard or biting at me, I'll use any racial attacks that felt real for me. "I have this experience almost everywhere, because it's as if she's receiving a punch at minimum throughout the entire scene."
